We don't pay our drivers until we have finished, because you might have been really, really happy and want to leave them a bit extra, which you can do anyway, but I don't agree with paying upfront, you don't pay a cab driver upfront....

You won't have to learn Indo, as everyone over there pretty much speaks English, if not, they can speak broken english. Try and learn some Indo with them over there, they find that a lot of fun and so will you.

It won't rain all day. I haven't ever been there when it rains all day. It is usually a really brief shower in the morning or arvo and then it gets really humid afterwards.

Ice is fine to have in your drinks. If you feel funny about it, just say No. We have never had a problem with the ice in drinks. If you go to a backstreet cafe or eat off the side of the road from some of the carts, obviously be careful of taking ice. But usually you are ok.
