for being concerned about the safety of our children. Unfortunately, we and our possessions are constantly under threat from assorted lowlife, but if we let that change our normal way of life, then the wrongdoers have won. A bit like if we allow the terrorists to stop us going to Bali.
People have eyes to see and minds to think about what they see. Nothing can change that. I don't agree with encouraging our children to be ashamed of their bodies and that's what could happen if we're not careful. What we need to do is make sure that the children have a proper understanding of the dangers that exist in the world and never let them be unwatched until they have reached an age where they are likely to be safe from paedophiles. As they grow older, they can watch out for one another as long as they are in a group.
Some time ago, I read an article which said that young teenage girls following current fashions and walking around in the shopping malls with short skirts and bare midriffs etc would be attracting the attention of paedophiles and should dress more modestly. This is a similar concept to your suggestion. But why shouldn't the girls dress attractively [as they see it], enjoy their young lives and learn dress sense by experience?
There are some evil bastards in the world and we need to be suitably cautious. But we can't let the evil ones rule our lives.
