I have been diving for over 30 years in some very nice places in the Caribbean, Mexico, Fiji, Thailand and even the Great Barrier Reef. Diving in Bali is not the greatest but it is certainly enjoyable. My most memorable experience has been in Menjangan, partly because I liked the ambiance of the place, the seclusion, the turtle station guy there (sorry, I forget his name, next door to Taman Selini), the fact that Menjangan is a park. The visibility was admirable and the sealife was impressive, even just during the low tide snorkling break between dives. I look forward to doing it again sometime. Lembangan is more adventurous but the currents can be distracting. Ahmed's visibility was quite poor when I was there. Menjangan is my best bet for overall pleasant diving experience in Bali.
