That's pretty much what I was thinking. One of my daughter-in-law's rellies is a traffic cop and he and his family seem like lovely people, but I suppose they have to survive.
Ron and Dayu's next door neighbour is a cop and a really nice, friendly, helpful guy. His wife is a schoolteacher, a career combination which in Australia would give a combined reasonable income. Not the same in Bali unfortunately, but still much better than many, I suppose.
