I am in Legian as I write (Cyber Cafe) and have just returned from Candi Dasa 2 days ago.
It depends on what you are looking for. Stayed at the Resor Prima (Thanks to Rex's suggestion) 150,000rp with air con. Right on the beach. Hired jukungs to go fishing 60,000rp for 3 hours. 80,000 if you want them to BBQ your catch on the beach with rice and peanut sauce. Snorkelling at Blue Lagoon or White Sand Beach.
Drive to Amed for snorkelling or Tulumben to dive on the wreck. Or you can see it by snorkelling. We used a great driver, Ketut, from Warung Puspa. You can go to the water palace ar Tirta Ganga or the newly renovated water palace at Ujung (great). We did a trek up to Pura Lempuyang (1700 steps at least).
Caught orange bemos to Amlapura (5,000rp per person) correct fare only 3,000!!!!!
Bought our fruit from the market plus prawns for bait.
The Bali Aga village is also close by.
Legends Cafe has a live band every 2nd night.
I can go on but my Bintang is getting warm.
Cheers.
PS: Ran into Smudge & Roo Ted at SnS tonight.
