e,
A website you can check out is www.carryforkids.org and that has a list with addresses info etc on there theres quite a few and depends on location. I usually go to a smaller one in Tabanan- Panti Asuhan Salam. Its about 1-11/2 hours fom kuta .My driver normally takes us there and will ask Gusti(the director) any questions etc for you as she speaks english but not fluently. If you are interested my drivers details are; Made Mangku if you like have a look at his website www.geocities.com/balidriver_mademangku Hes very reliable and trustworthy plus a very nice person. Majority of the kids range in age 4 to 17 years. We usually take as much as we can fit in. Also normally give them whatever cash we can manage when we leave.
As for the adults clothes you could have a look at Helen Flavels site if going to Lovina or give to hawkers on the beach /near your hotel etc or give them to your driver who will take them to their village to be distibuted. Look up Filos posting Gifts for all occassions for excellent ideas on what else is useful.
The orphanage we go to at Tabanan i just get Made to ring for me to let them know when well be there but best to make sure there home from school if you want to see the kids. Sat. aftie is usually good .Hope this helps for further info grantjudi@senet.com.au If you do decide to go with Made please let him know ive recommended him as i usually talk/text him quite often.
