Direct flights between most capital cities in Oz and Bali are possible if booked in advance. Using FF points, they could possibly put you on a Singapore then on to Bali because the aircraft that fly direct Oz to Bali are alot smaller (737) and always chockers compared to the more frequent Singapore then a Bali connection aircraft (767) which are more than twice the size. I'm talking about QF and Australian. If you did the Sing Bali route you would then be able to stopover in Sing. Not sure how many points any of this would cost, you need to speak to the reservation staff.
