...but I need to see an aircraft's power close up. It's amazing how different your perpective is of what these incredible flying machines are capable of doing when you're on the inside all the time. It is different to a passenegers experience, being strapped into your jump seat in the back gallery with all the carts rattling around or looking down the cabin and seeing all the passengers heads bobbing about on a rough landing.
Just a tip....if the seatbelt sign is on and a flight attendant is strapped in opposite to your seat try not to speak to us 5 minutes before the thing touches down. It's not that we're being rude but because we're doing what's called a silent review of emergency procedures (or we should be). Just incase the airline authorities are on board and watching, it's policy.
Love my Bali passengers, always jealous of them. Our crew just turn around and come straight back to Oz! I always make sure I get off in Bali and just smell the air and look at the ocean and the coastline through the terminal windows, feeling that energy that is so heavy in the air, so typically Bali :)
