we LOVE it at PR. It's about 3 star, I think, and we stay there every year.... it is smaller than some and it is far enough away from Kuta, but also close enough to Kuta if you need it to be. The hotel grounds are very pretty and peaceful. The staff are friendly, helpful and chatty. The food is fine, brekkie's good, especially sitting at brekkie overlooking the beach every morning, if you don't venture anywhere else. The rooms are great, TV, air con, hot water - bathrooms a little tired, but hey you only sleep in your rooms. 2 pools - beach end one the main one and the other one you venture too, if you want to avoid others and have a quieter time around the pool. There are little shops straight across the road for any little things you might need during the day, without having to travel too far. There are great restaurants around the hotel, you don't have to travel far at all. Even the hawkers out the front on the beach are a friendly mob and they pretty much leave you alone, unless you say so. You will love it there, people who go there, just keep going back and they have a regular clientelle now.
