HI, we took our 14mth old and 3 yr old in may and going again on 7th feb for 2 weeks, we stressed in may but all for nothing..we were really organised, we purchased a microwave from BigW - boxed of course and took that which went part of cargo luggage, best thing we did - it was $80 well spent - we took 2 min noodles and lots of other packet stuff like porridge sachets for brekky etc..the microwave was used to cook noodles and heat bottles instead of waiting for slow kettle to boil!! the microwave fitted easliy onto bench and we took adaptor, no probs with power, we stayed at bali rani hotel in tuban which was great. We also took hand luggage 12 litres of milk (UHT) bulk packed - very compact - i just bought more from action supermarket, no probs taking hand luggage and hubby carried it onto plan, that way we knew her milk was safe. I purchaed cheap plastic bowls and spoons etc and took a larger tub and washing liquid to wash food bowls with. We used to feed kids noodles and tinned meals before we went out then let them graze on what we ate - that way we knew thier food intake was safe. We left the microwave with our friend/driver as gift - just purchased another cheap micro today to take in couple of weeks. This time i will be taking crackers and alot more food, we took alot last time aswell. We purchased a pram at Matahari near DFS going to Nusa Dua, then sold it when we got home, groovy pram and it was used as a high chair, it coped well with paths in tuban/kuta, in may was road works so it was messy but bubby girl enjoyed hanging on in pram going on bumps. The balinese adore kids and are fantastic with them, they never put our baby down...I wont take nappies this time, easier to buy there and wipes too, not expensive at all and they are huggies...Also we used to buy fresh loaf bread from bakery and make the kids vegemite sandwiches to eat by the pool, they loved it...sorry to go on and on..but our experince with the kids was great...if you need any more info just ask. Thanks Lisa
