1st time visitors

My family and I are hoping to travel to Bali for the 1st time in July this year (school holidays). We will be travelling with another family so there will be 4 adults 2 15yr olds and 2 12 yr olds. Any thoughts or comments on either the Bali Rani hotel or possibly the Green Garden Hotel? Any other hints for 1st timers would be appreciated.
