When the original Airbus A-310 was placed into service, it was still configured as when it operated for Singapore Airlines - First/Business/Economy. This meant that Air Paradise were able to, at additional cost, offer the larger First/Business seats as "Premium Economy" together with 30Kgs Baggage and Priority Baggage handling.
The A330 which operates Sydney/Melbourne services has always bee configured as full Economy, as is the second A-310. The original A-310 is now being re-configured to All Economy, whilst the B737-800 which operates Perth/Adelaide is leased from Transavia (leasing division of KLM) and is also an All Economy configuration.
The "Premium Economy" was great while it lasted but the additional revenue received for these seats would never realise revenue which could be achieved with an All-Economy configuration, plus enabling many more passengers to be carried to "the Isle of Smiles".
