Gosh how can they ask that much....but they do.Would be a maximum of 35000rupiah to legian which is $5. Even if there were more of you and needed 2 cars....is only $10.
Many taxis at the airport.....just barter the price.Don't go over 35000.If there are light blue ones there ,they have meters so check they are on. Most i think tend to be dark blue so barter the price.
Try and get light blue metered ones for your stay in bali.
March is not peak season.but to give you an idea on wether you have paid too much, i am going from Perth in July holidays(peak) and staying at a more budget hotel (Bali garden)for 10 nights and with brekkie, airfairs(AP) and accom is $1440.Which is more than i like to pay normally.
Maybe staying at a flash hotel and coming from Sydney would be right for you.If you want cheaper then stay at another hotel...there are many and depends what your requirements are.
Cheers
