as most tourist who go over regularly take cases and cases of clothing etc to give away as most Balinese have a struggle to survive especially after the bomb so money is the go. Maybe if you do have something they really like it might happen but is not the norm although last year a stall person wanted to swap my used scholl's for a new pair of shoes from her stall.
