extra Babi Guling at Ibu Oka each time we ate there & brought it back to the hotel for the staff. You'd think we were giving them gold bars! Made me embarrassed that they were so appreciative when each serving cost a measely Rp10,000!!! One of the staff said "It's like McDonald's to us!!" I was momentarily disappointed at the comparison until he followed it up with "a VERY SPECIAL treat!!". The smiles said it all, it's NOTHING like McDoanld's!! As for a romantic place, possibly ask people's opinion on Indus??? Unfortunately our romantic meals in Ubud consisted of our 3yr old wiping her hands on my husband's clothes whilst our 8 yr old spilt her drink in my lap!!! Maybe not the best person to recommend a romantic venue!! Cheers, Sue.
