just returned on Saturday 14th January 2005. The new rooms are lovely and only one block has been completed. No one has stayed in these rooms yet.
Last year we stayed in the Mezzanine room #71. It was better than the family room that we first booked into. They have a bali style bathroom, which was fine for us. the down stairs has two single beds and the upstairs has the king size bed. One AC unit for the entire room which is sufficient. The stair case is a little steep, especially if you have little ones. We liked it but we don't need much to amke us happy. We stayed in the standard room this time, we only took one child this time. One thing we did notice is that others who booked two rooms often did not have the rooms adjoining ( maybe due to the availablity) which meant that the kids and the adults were one or two rooms apart.
the breakfast consists of the same options each day. the food is healthy but after the first 14 days of our 28 days we became bored with the choices. We sometimes went to Tommys Cafe open 7.30am until 5pm. the food is fantastic. Weetbix, brown bread, freshly baked muffins, and a whole host of other foods that you can't get anywhere else. the staff are great, don't charge Tax so we always tipped. The food is washed in bottled water and prepared as you wait. Say Hello to Wayan for us. She will remember us by our son, dylan who had his 9th birthday there. Tommys Cafe is on Rum Jungle street Legian opposite the Swiss Restaurant. Enjoy
