I bought a very smart looking Rolex Oyster Perpetual from a street seller in Candi Dasa in August 2003. It's still going well and looking good. I paid a little more than I needed to, but Candi Dasa was very quiet and he was short of customers.

I showed it to my watch repairer friend on my return. Keith told me that I have a very good watch with a genuine Japanese Citizen movement. He also said there was no reason why I could not wear it in the water, but I don't want to do that. Only practical difference from a real one is that I sometimes have to adjust the date for the first of the month.

But I'm sure it's the luck of the draw.
