There are no mobile phones in Indonesia that are sim locked because everyone one in Indonesia who wants a mobile phone has to buy it outright. I buy a new mobile phone everytime I go to Indonesia because I find I can buy it cheaper there than in Australia but having said that I don't buy them in Bali, I buy them in Java. First when you get there buy a paper called PONSEL (Rp6000) this paper is in Indonesian but in thee middle it has photos of nearly all the mobile phones and the new price and a second hand price. This paper will give you a guide on how much you should pay for a mobile phone, remember also you are a tourist and because of that the price will go up. I hope this helps you a little.
