We had 2 x 1L bottles JW black lable, 1 x 1L bottle Bailey's, 4 Bottles of my mothers cheep crappy favourite wine in the suitcase.

Got pulled aside by customs and eventually agreed on $20 Australian to get through.

It was quite a funny experience because the customs guys can be so comical. Take what you want, you can by WA wine over there but it is about $20 a bottle. Take your favourite wine, wrap it in bubble wrap and put it in your bag. Be prepared to be stopped, but don't stress, all they want is a little play money.

When you remember that they get paid as little as about $100AU a month, $20au to get your wine supply for 14 days into the country is really not that much to pay.
