Customs offices are corrupt as we all know!
If you are caught with excess alcahol, they consider the value first.
2 liters of wine is not worth anything to them, so they would ask for $10.00, IF YOU ONLY HAD A $5 note on you they would still be happy.
If you had 2 top shelf spirits they may confiscate one and sell it on the balck market!!
We went through 2 weeks ago with 2 litres too much in our hand luggage, and we could tell by the way they were looking through our hand luggage that they knew it was there. My wife had one bag slung over her left shoulder and stood side on!! you could see the confused
look on his face...!!!!
Such is Bali.
