I've never had any shots and probably won't next time. That's probably just because I'm stupid and lazy.
I had a rather nasty fall last time I was in Bali. We were actually just coming back from Red Rice (an experience) in Ubud and going to Indus with a couple of Aussie international school teachers we'd met that day.
Well, it was time to hop out of the back of the Jimny and as I was jumping out of the front door from the back seat, my leg got caught in the seatbelt and my whole body flung out of the car right into a big fence. Smashed my head and cut my hand up pretty bad. Not so much that it needed stitches but bad enough to hurt and bleed lots.
Quite funny in hindsight... Anyway, I just layed where I fell and prayed that nothing too serious was done. Could have fallen on anything really. In that case, you really do need tetanus shots and anything else you can get pumped into you.
So yeah, there's a reason you should have some injections... and the reason I should get some... I understand why people don't though. Too lazy!
