Good idea to get prices in Aus before you go and if poss take a swatch of what you are looking for. Check the width of the material to make sure it is the same width. Act confident as if you have been there heaps of times and try to get just under half the price asked. Ask for the 'business price'if you are buying substantial quantities.
When you are quoted the first price, looked shocked, say 'mahal'
and make to walk out of the shop. The price will immediately come down and then you can start bargaining.
