Wondering if other forumites are finding that, with the pleasing recent increase in tourist numbers for Bali, and normality returning for Bali and those dependent on tourism for a living, there is a corresponding increase in hotel rates?
A hotel I have used in the past, and intend to stay at again in March, namely Puri Naga Seaside Cottages, has recently released its latest Indo.com special rates, including long stay rates, and the 15 day rate has increased by a hefty 30%. In fact, in rupiahs, the increase is even more, because previously the conversion from US dollars was at rates at or around 8,500 and the latest conversion was done at an arbitrary rate of 9,300!
I am interested to know if others have found this recently with other hotels, particularly where the current and near future rates have only recently been set. Of course, it is to be expected that rates that have been in operation for a while and are stated to apply till, say, the end of March 2005, may well change only after that date.
