my husband refuses to take Malaria tabs and in June 1998, we went to Bali as we do every year at the same time, and he came back and got very very sick - he got Malaria from Bali - we didn't venture past Legian, Canggu, Ubud etc.... no-where too different. He now has Malaria for life and believe me, it wasn't a nice thing to have to go through, or to have to go through again!
