Flew Australian. Flight was uneventful. VOA not to bad. I lucked out and got in 2 quick lines. Taxi to Bali Garden Hotel (already mentioned that earlier) Stayed there for 7 nights and spent a majority of my days drinking cocktail in the pool. Met some lovely people. Lots of Aussies to chat to.

Went to The New shopping complex- Discovery Plaza. Th department store is great (Centro). but not cheap. There is a body shop, 2 shoe shops. If they were bigger sizes I would have bought heaps (and I'm not a shoe fanatic). Most went to 40 but a lot had ben sold so not much if you are size 9+. Deffinitely worth a look. Most shops open. ANew ones on th side not open yet.
Went to SuperNova (roughly behing Waterbom). Great small, cheap supermarket. Cheap kids clothes (55.000 for a jeans + Tshirt set). I bought some moisturizer, lip gloss, face cleansers etc.
Ordered prescription glasses for a friend at Optic Melawai (In front of Ramayana Hotel- Tuban).
Ate at Bubba Gump. They hav a 30-50% off sale. IThe net chtch was 74.000 in August. This week the menu said 85.000. The discount price was 52.000. I think the meals were a bit smaller but could be wrong. Everyone was happy with their meal. The staff are friendly and fun.
Bali Asi - Poppies 1. Cheap. Good meals. Friendly staff.
Treehouse- Poppies 1. cheap, nice food. service a bit slow.
Ratu- nice meals also. Pretty cheap. Next to bomb site. Also an entrance in Poppies 2.
In Legian- Uncle Norms. Meals not real big but nice. Cheap.
Yogya??? Warung on left hand side of Garden View Cottages. Most meals 10.000. You've got to try the Kare Ayam (Curried chicken). YUM. Not spicy but full of flavour.

After a week at Bali Garden I moved to Puri Etnik which was a bit lonely at first. Very quiet. (next to Camplung Mas)
Been to S&S a few times and met some lovely people.

Next time I get on I'll tell about my trip to Ubud/Tempaksiring and my first every surfing lesson.

Before I sign off....
Every trip I learn something new. Well this trip has been no exception but this revelation lft me quite shocked and took me a few days to come to terms with.
As you probably know many hotels have their showers mounted on the wall at belly button height. Well normally I just bend over to rinse my hair. This time I thought I would sit in the bath and shower. Well i noticed after a while the bath was filling up. I looked behingd me and there was only a little trickle of water. To my horror the water was being stopped by my buttocks and hips. On closer inspection (repeated for several days) I came to the conclusion that the Balinese make very narrow baths (wouldn't you?). I did , however, have a quick look in the mirror.
Well I'm fine now (thanks for being concerned). Maybe I should buy a tape masure or do a test at home (well maybe not). LOL
Catch you next time,
Lynne
