I stayed at Dana Sari Bungalows, Ubud in oct 2004. Really nice place. Hot water & shower, large ceiling fan, good sized room with bed side tables, dresser & small wardrobe. Terrace (tiled) with cane table & chairs onto a small lawn & garden with a beautifull view over the rice fields which are about 7 meters in front of your terrace. Absolutely charming.Made Swiartawan is the room man, come everthing else & is very obliging.I did a number of long & short trips as pillion passenger on his motor scooter ( sepedpo motor).Price very reasonable. I paid 60,000RP per night inc breakfast & had a large thermos of tea set up on the terrace table each morning at 6. I did bargain quite hard &ended up staying for 8 nights instead of the 3 or 4 i intended. It was just so comfortable & easy.Made lives with his wifes family in Mas, and we visited them. Mades family live in a small villabe out from Bangli, we did a day tour in ahire car, Made driving & visited his Mum & Dad ,Nephew & nieces etc. Made very welcome, no alterior motive, (selling etc)just made welcome with lots of tea & bali kopi (coffee).Don't let the low price put you off.
