Arrived home yesterday,the usual 2 hour flight to Port Hedland with Island Bound Holidays.Went over Xmas Day and they served roast Turkey and smal Christmas Pudding was nice touch only bummer was they actaually charge for bar service,but after starting at airport only managed two beers on way over.
Stayed at Melasti Beach Bungalows in Tuban for first and last time.Is a sister hotel to MBR and rooms are about the same but there it ends,if you think brekkies at MBR are bad well thank your lucky stars because after one try 12 out of 16 of us gave up and brekkied out.
Two pools were ok but NO pool towels until you angried up a bit.
Lovely gardens but walkways only designed for nimble non drunks.Rain for first week was nice change for norwesters but second week better with only morning showers,caused a little damage to new drainage with a collapse outside Stadium and another in Bukinsari Jln,quickly sort of repaired.Beach at Kuta was amazingly dirty with plastic and huge logs rolling in with each wave.
We ate well,drank better got good exchange rate 6900 to 7200 and have enough for first couple of days for next run in August
