Ubud Stay Over

Hello All.

We are leaving for Bali in two weeks and staying at the Bali Rani, thinking of heading up to Ubud for a night or two as we want to have a good look around and a day trip I don't think will cover it, cost isn't really an issue but we aren't really 5 star people. Can anyone recommend a place that is nice and close to the heart of Ubud..
