Lombok is definately worth visiting and staying a few nights if you like things a bit less 'touristy'. The island is more primative, locals still get around in horse carts (and motorbikes and cars of course). It has a totally different feel to Bali, but lovely still.
The area Ona stayed is called Mangsit beach and is 10 mins from Sengiggi, which is the main tourist area. Mangsit is becoming the more upmarket end of accommodation, the Holiday Inn is fine if you like big hotels, and there are some smaller, boutique options such as Puri Mas and Qunci Villas, and some cheaper basic options like Santai Beach Inn. The 3 islands nearby are referred to as the Gili's (which means island) are also popular to visit and stay.
