Due to only two landing strips in the Aceh area and no electronic guidance for landing, very few aircraft are permitted or even able to land. Distribution of goods is also a problem due to issues with the roads there. According to my sources it is very difficult at the present time to distribute goods sent to Aceh and the Indonesian Govt as well as World Vision are encourgaing cash donations so that goods can be purchased from within Indonesia and then sent through to Aceh. Goods that are still required are masks, body bags, mobile hospitals, underwear, water purification systems, tents,cooking utensils. I am sure there is more however it was mainly those items that were mentioned.
