Rambutan Cottages are apparently very nice, run by Richard and his wife, but I haven't stayed there, but Colleen has, so I think she'll reply with lots more info for you. Lovina is the name for a long stretch of about 12 km along the north coastline, west of Singaraja. Kalibukbuk is the most likely the largest village (they are only 1-2 km apart), and it has a couple of ATM's, quite a few restaurants and internet cafes, photo shops etc.. We stayed at Anturan which is a few villages east of Kalibukbuk (it only takes about 5 minutes to get there on the back of a motorbike and about 10,000 rupiah!) If you want to email me I can send you some of my JBR's as we spent 4 nights up that way and really enjoyed it, our highlights were some of the fishing and snorkelling & dolphin trips out with the locals, although we did trips into the mountains etc. as well. There is a cooking school I went to, but I'm not sure if they still have classes at the moment.
