We have travelled all over Asia and can honestly say the only place that has dissapointed all of us was Penang - dirty beaches , filthy water - high prices - ordinary restaurants and hawkers who are not at all pleasant. The big drug scene in Georgetown was also very evident. First night in town we saw an old guy lying on his verandah w*nking - sort of set the scene for the whole holiday. Have always thought we should go back and try again...we will see
