Hi! I know heaps of people dont get vacc's but for those that are thinking about it I'm back from the doc's yesterday and found out the following (which I think is right, but dont shoot me if I'm wrong - Dr's handwriting and all)... you can either get a Thyphrix shot which just covers typhoid for $34, a separate hep A + B shot which costs $52, (remembering that you need the hep A 3 times at 0 and 1 months and the hep B at 0, 1 and 6 months), or you can settle for (which is what I have the pleasure of doing tomorrow) the Vivaxin shot, which covers you for Hep A plus typhoid, with a booster for Hep A at 12 months, which is $107, plus a separate Hep B shot for $15. In other words, it's a LOT of money and a LOT of injections, but hey, once they're done they're done, and it's better to be safe than sorry right?? - Just trying to convince myself!!! Does this sound right to anyone else? Oh! and if you're smart enough to have private health cover they're probably cover most of the cost
