It dawned on me over night the word I was looking for to describe the fat, sweaty man was Caucasian. I was in such a state yesterday thinking about all this had a mental block and kept describing him as a Westerner when in fact he was European.
All else is as I described and when my son read this he said "that is how it was Mum" and he was also very thrilled by some of your comments.
Please forgive me for labelling him as a Westerner when in fact he was European.
