I found the most aggressive hawkers are at the rice terraces in Ubud. Even if you stay in the car, they will still try to sell to you. It depends on where you are and how long you stay. We stayed in Sanur for a week. The first couple of days they constantly are trying to get you to buy something, but after they start to recognize you, they will start to leave you alone. In Kuta, I did not enjoy shopping as much. I found that you had less bargaining in Kuta compared to everywhere else we stayed. At Git Git waterfalls they are aggressive, but there are good prices here, because they do not get lots of visitors like Kuta.
