Loved your sons way of handling this scene, reminded me of my sons' thoughts on the possibility of being approached by a rain coat brigade member; they were junior black belts at ages 11 & 13, and reckoned they'd get a chance to find out if their martial arts training was up to scratch.

But on reporting, and it's not just paedophilia, it's any form of sexual annoyance; the wife was treated rather badly by another Australian, more than unwelcome continual advances that nearly went a step toooo far. Luckily for the bloke concerned, he was stopped in his tracks before any physical contact.

A Report in Bali went nowhere, apart from being used as a coffee coaster, but even more hard to understand, he could not be reported in Australia, "out of jurisdiction" was I think the legal term.

We as adults can take pretty good care of ourselves, but children? NO. One would HOPE with the news of the raping of victims of last weeks tragedy, and the potential for child kidnapping & trafficking, maybe the powers might communicate a bit more, and make it easier to report paedophilia ETC;

I think your son is cool, and at least now, he knows first hand of the danger out there,, good on ya mate....
