We stayed for two weeks in the top level of a two story bungalow near the front of the resort. Room was clean, air cond worked really well,& the view from the balcony overlooking the frangipanni trees was beautiful & peaceful while sipping a cold Bintang from the fridge prior to our evening meal at one of the many top class restuarants nearby. Look for a great Lobster Thermidor at one of the beach cafes for 125000RP Scrumptious! Breakfast is as good as anywhere, they even had vegemite when we had a hankering for it.Besakih is close to the beach, shops, markets, & Shrek DVD's on the beach (cheapest in Bali) We found the best driver Yancha who had a late model van with excellent airconditioning & special markings which made it easy to recognise from the others in shopping & other area car parks. He is a family man with three kids who has an excellent knowledge of the whole Island having been a guide & driver for 10 years. He is originally from a small village near Singaraja, the ancient capital of Bali & took us to see his family property during a tour to Lovina. He speaks very good English & helped us by meeting us during our shopping expeditions & taking our bags back to the van so we didnt have to lug them around with us. Very trustworthy & thoughtful. He can be contacted on his mobile
0812 393 3728 & is based outside the Resort. Please email me if you have other queries
