We are about to book for May for the Bali Padma (such good reports on this forum). First time to Legian (7th time to Bali). Want to know whether the Padma has direct access to the beach. Do they have have sun lounges on the beach as in the hotels in Sanur or Nusa Dua? We stayed in Sanur in 2004 but found it to be a bit quiet. Best quote we have at present from Melbourne for 8.5 nights is $3400 for the deluxe chalet - this is a bit more than we wanted to spend (and about $1000 than 2004!!). Any ideas from the forumites? I have tried San Michele and Best Flights and the lowest quote so far is from a suburban Melbourne agency. Would it be cheaper for us to purchase flights and then "hope for the best" when we arrive off the street? I like to have everything squared away before I leave the "safety" of my home so I am really reluctant to arrive with no accommodation booked. What are your thoughts?
