bringing coffee home?

Can anyone tell me if you are allowed to bring roasted coffee beans in through customs in australia? I know its a foodstuff but I thought if it was roasted it might be okay?
Now, second, anyone have any tips on where to find great beans in Bali??
I am a bit fussy but love Javanese coffee
