Hi, I can relate totally to your concern regarding taking a child with a peanut allergy to Bali. Our young son is 6 and we had the same concerns as you the first time we decided to go. We went to a allergy specialist and sought advise on whether or not it was a good idea and how we best might prepare ourselves. We have now travelled with him twice to Bali and will be returning again next year April with him. We take precautions half a Zyrtec tablet every day just in case he has any contact with peanut (as he is contact allergic) and we take a couple of Epipens with us for emergency. So far so good. Apart from the obvious not eating satay peanuts etc ,which we dont even do at home, we just use commonsense. We have eaten in a number of restaurants in Bali and the oil they cook in is usually vegetable oil. If you want any more info let me know.
