Hi
When I first read your post I thought "gosh no way" I havent read anything since that changes my mind. Keep them in your supervision and care where they can learn from you until they have matured.

In some ways I tend to "overprotect" my children.
I just have this inherited alarm worry wort bell that goes off at certain things .. this is one of them.

No way do I think Bali is dangerous compared to other places. Maybe its Coming from the country you seem to be a little more flexible and comfortable as a parent with certain things. Your children are confident about doing things and being independent.. but when u hit the big city ( like anything with a set of traffic lights in it) or new areas my cotton wool stock comes out. I have no true evidence of crime country vs city so dont hammer me down... just its my gut instinct..

A while back there was a post about a lad at 17 going over for schoolies !!!
Honestly my son turns 17 this month and no way would I allow him to go.( I know I didnt post at the time)

My kids say I worry too much less stress and all that but as I recently told my son everyone thinks that "it wont happen to me" but its always someones son/daughter. ( It was as discussion in relation to speed and driving on the roads )

Anyhow thats my thoughts........
