day 2 9am we waited in the lobby for our guide to arrive his name was Artana. He loaded us in to the van and we set off to see the sighte of bali. Not much talking as we were all to busy looking at the sights. A short time later we arrived at the traditional dance and watched that for an hour i think it was the first time my 4 yr didnt talk or move she couldnt keep her eyes off them our guide was talking us through the dance and we found that very helpful.
Back in the van on the way to Ubud and Celuk we watched the silver making and i was amazed at how intricate they could make the prices were a bit high but mw wife brought some earings and bracelets.
In the bus again on the way to the healing springs temple and we all put our sarongs and wandered on in. What a wonderful place all the fish and the history of the place Built in the 16 century and rebuilt a few time since we were told. We all fed the fish and I took heaps of photos of the statues and the temple grounds they were just beautiful.Brought a few sarongs on the day out 10,000rp each !!
Off to Kintamani to have lunch it rained most of the way up but we had a few spots to stop and get some magic shots of the country side before it started to rain again. When we got to the summit of Kintamani the clouds parted giving us the most magestic sight i have ever seen the blue lake and the Volcano was great. Got some great pics of the family with our guide then we had our lunch which was great execpt all the high chairs in bali dont have straps so the 16 month kept climbing out!.
Back down the mountian with my wife Kylie asking questions all the way Artana never missed a beat answering every one she threw at him.
We stopped off at one of his freinds places to look at the wood carving and kites we got a beautiful dragon for my son and a bird for the girl they now have them hanging on their wall in there rooms. My 4yr played with the local kids behind the place for 45 mins while the girls in the shop took our 16 mth son and doted over him. Artana said this was because he was a little blonde and they loved him they feed him fresh fruit while we shopped great service!
Back in the van again and now we were off to the Bali Bird Park what a great place as well. The family had there pics taken with the red and blue Macaws and they even put a Palm cockatoo on my sons pram and i got a great shot of him kissing it! The next second he grabs his dummy and tries to give it to the bird very funny. Walked around looking at the birds while Artana insisted on pushing the pram.He was amazed at the amount of photos i was taking!Back in the van again to head home seeing more of bali and the people back at the Legian by 4:45 very full and exiteing day. Put the little man down for a sleep and we all sat around the pool chatting to fellow guests and relaxing met some great people and learnt some good tips. Went out for a late dinner at OH LA LA cafe opp Kuta beach walked dack via Legian st and put the kids to bed after a very long day.The next day we just spent relaxing and shopping and swimming both the kids needed a less hectic one as we are off to the Elephant park the next day. I tried to organise our tours with one day touring and one day resting for our sanity and also the kids.
